Do I need a Stripe or PayPal account?
No. Neither is required and neither is used. Because payment happens directly between you and your buyer, there is no processor to be approved by and no percentage taken from the sale.
Is WhatsApp checkout safe?
The order total is calculated on the server from your own product prices, so the amount cannot be altered in the browser before the message is sent. Payment itself happens between you and your buyer, exactly as it does for any order agreed over a phone call.
